Dixie Majors Baseball is for boys 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 years of
age playing on a regulation sized field. Dixie Pre-Majors is a
Division of Dixie Majors Baseball for boys of age 15 and 16.
The Alabama Dixie Major Baseball program is participating in a
pilot program that will allow 19 year old boys to play.
History - In the summer of
1973 the Board of Directors of Dixie Boys Baseball, Inc.,
feeling a need to establish a program for its graduates
established Dixie Majors Baseball for boys 15, 16, and 17
years of age playing on a regulation sized field. In 1977 the
ages were changed to 15, 16, 17 and 18. |

We will have a
public meeting on February 25th, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Decatur
Utilities auditorium for anyone who might be interested in
helping in any way with the 2007 league to make it a great
season for the young men and women to play. We are also looking
for responsible individuals to handle and run the concessions
for all games at a pay rate of $20.00. Experienced Coaches to
manage teams with a positive background may apply.

Sign ups will be held at Fort Decatur March 9th, 2007 from
4pm till 6pm; March 10th from 10am till 12pm; March 23rd
from 4pm till 6pm and March 24th from 2pm till4 pm.

Sign-ups will also be held
at: The Aquadome March 16th from 4pm till 6pm and
March 17th from 2pm till 4pm. Final sign up will be at TC
Almon April 7th from 4pm till 6pm.

The draft will be held the
2nd week of April and games will begin on May 1st,
2007. |
|
|
*No
players will be accepted after draft. Teams will be final.
Note: Players will be accepted up to night of draft.
We will have an invitational tournament on May 1st-.

|
Registration fee is $90 per
person and $175 for more than one sibling, which will pay
for a cap and jersey. All dues must be
paid in full before playing. No Exceptions.
|
|
Anyone who turned 19 after August 1, 2006 and before August 1, 2007 is
eligible to play again this year with the pre-majors.
Once
players have received cap and jersey their will be no
refund! |
