All hockey in the River City is played at the NEW
Point Mallard Ice Complex at Point Mallard Park. Point Mallard
Ice Complex was completed in November of 2001. Immediately,
this state of the art facility, which includes 4 locker rooms,
pro shop, skate rental and concessions stand, was a big hit in
the area and attracted two major hockey tournaments. |

Junior
House Leagues
River City Hockey is available to boys and girls between the
ages of 4–9 and 13-16. River City Hockey is an affiliate of
Huntsville Area Hockey Association (HAHA). HAHA is a member
association of USA Hockey Inc.
No experience necessary. Player must furnish his/her own
equipment.

Junior Pick-Up |
Adult
supervised and directed. This session is for kids who want to
work on their entire game. Experience is needed. The session
includes a combination of drills and game action.

the beginner to intermediate level player. Beginners must
be able to demonstrate the basics of hockey skating including
stopping and backwards skating. Prior understanding of the

For
the player who possess the knowledge of hockey and its rules.
Advanced players are above average in skating, stick handling
and puck control. These players have advanced backgrounds

Getting to Point Mallard Park
Point
Mallard is located just a few minutes off I-65 midway between
Nashville, Tennessee, and Birmingham, Alabama, at Decatur Exit 340 or
Decatur Exit 334. The park is open 365 days a year. Point
Mallard Park is owned and operated by The City of Decatur.
