The semi-finals and finals will be held on Friday, May 9th and on Saturday May 10th, 2003 in Huntsville at the John Hunt Soccer Complex.

  • 6A Girls - Bob Jones wins 1-0. The game went through regulation and both 5 minute overtime periods scoreless. Bob Jones won by making all five of their shots from the mark while Oak Mountain made four of five - missing the fourth kick. The 6A Girls Tournament MVP was Anne McIntyre of Oak Mountain.

    Meghan Bailey didn't see the game-winning kick. The shot that defeated Oak Mountain 1-0 in a shootout and gave Bob Jones High School its first state championship in any sport came off Bailey's foot, but she wasn't looking.

    Bob Jones had never, in a history that dates to 1974, won a state championship in any sport. Coach Ken Hudson has coached girls soccer there since 1998 but had not until this season reached the state tournament.
