St. Patrick's Day Tournament
March 11th and 12th, 2005 at Mountain
Brook High School in Mountain Brook, Alabama
We would like to extend an invitation to you to
participate in the 9th annual St. Patrick’s Cup soccer
tournament March 11th and 12th at Mountain Brook High
School. It will be a four team round-robin event with each
team playing one game Friday night (5pm or 7pm), one game
Saturday morning (10am), and another game Saturday
afternoon (2pm). The games would be played on our Stadium
field on Friday night and on both the Stadium and our
upper soccer field on Saturday. Both of them are in
excellent shape. When possible, we have played some JV
games at 12pm and 4pm surrounding the tournament to get
those guys some games in as well.
An All-Tournament Team and Tournament MVP
will be selected at the conclusion of the Saturday
afternoon games by voting from all teams involved. The
award presentation will take place at the Stadium field
with trophies for both 1st and 2nd place, MVP. The
Tournament winner would be determined by using the 10
point system; 6 pts for a win, 3 pts for a tie, 0 pts for
a loss, 1 pt for each goal scored (up to a maximum of 3),
and 1 pt for a shutout (a 0-0 tie would count as a shutout
for each team). The Entry fee is $180.00. I also give out
very nice polo shirts commemorating the event to each
coach, so I will need your shirt size. If you have any
questions, please feel free to give me a call. I look
forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Joe Webb, Boys Soccer Coach
